Welcome to TankBackgrounds.com! By accessing our website or purchasing our products, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

1. Products and Services

TankBackgrounds.com specializes in custom-printed aquarium and terrarium backgrounds, including standard designs, personalized backgrounds, and customer-supplied artwork.

All backgrounds are printed to order based on the dimensions, designs, and finishes selected by the customer.

We reserve the right to update product offerings, descriptions, pricing, and availability without prior notice. Changes will not affect orders already accepted unless agreed upon with the customer.

2. Custom Sizing and Measurements

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements when ordering custom-sized backgrounds.

All dimensions are entered in inches unless otherwise specified.

Due to the nature of printing and trimming, minor production tolerances may occur.

Backgrounds exceeding certain dimensions may be produced in multiple panels. In particular, backgrounds over 36 inches high may require paneling.

Customers should carefully review their dimensions before completing an order.

3. Customer-Supplied Artwork

Customers may upload their own images or request custom artwork for printing.

By submitting artwork, customers confirm that they own the image or have the necessary rights and permissions to reproduce it.

Customers agree not to submit artwork that infringes another party's copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.

TankBackgrounds.com reserves the right to decline artwork that violates applicable laws or intellectual property rights.

Image quality and print results depend on the resolution and quality of the original artwork provided.

4. Colors and Print Appearance

We make every effort to accurately represent our backgrounds online.

However, colors may vary slightly between computer screens, mobile devices, and printed materials due to differences in display settings and printing processes.

Minor color variations are not considered manufacturing defects.

5. Pricing and Payments

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise indicated.

Prices are calculated based on product selection, dimensions, finishes, and applicable customization options.

Shipping charges and applicable taxes are displayed during checkout.

We reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If an error affects an order, we will contact the customer before proceeding.

6. Order Processing and Shipping

Most orders ship the next business day, with typical processing times of 1–2 business days.

Custom artwork, unusually large orders, and special projects may require additional processing time.

Standard and expedited shipping options may be available at checkout.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed, and shipping delays caused by carriers or circumstances outside our reasonable control may occur.

7. Returns, Replacements, and Refunds

Because our backgrounds are custom printed to order, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges for changes of mind, customer measurement errors, or incorrect product selections.

If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly printed, customers should contact us within 7 days of delivery.

We prioritize replacing qualifying damaged or defective products at no additional cost. Refunds may be issued when appropriate.

8. Order Changes and Cancellations

Customers should contact us as soon as possible to request changes or cancellations.

Once production has begun, an order may no longer be eligible for modification or cancellation.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests received before production begins.

9. Product Installation and Use

Aquarium backgrounds are designed for installation on the outside of aquarium glass unless a product specifically states otherwise.

Terrarium backgrounds may have different installation requirements. Matte lamination is recommended for backgrounds installed inside terrariums.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the selected product and installation method are appropriate for their intended environment.

Our printed backgrounds are not intended for underwater installation or direct, prolonged water exposure unless expressly identified as suitable for that use.

10. Intellectual Property

Website content, product descriptions, original designs, graphics, and branding belonging to TankBackgrounds.com may not be reproduced or commercially distributed without permission.

Customer-supplied artwork remains the property of its respective rights holder.

Purchasing a printed background does not transfer ownership of any underlying copyrighted artwork.

11. Website Use

Customers agree to use our website for lawful purposes and provide accurate information when placing orders.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders involving suspected fraud, unlawful activity, intellectual property violations, or other legitimate business concerns, subject to applicable law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, TankBackgrounds.com is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from improper installation, misuse, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms of Service excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
